Fornasetti Round tray "Polipo" (Ø 60 cm)
This Fornasetti round tray is made of screen-printed and hand-lacquered wood, using the Atelier's traditional method.
The circular shape and flat surface give ample space to the Atelier's decorations. This hand-screened and hand-painted tray with gold accents is adorned with the mysterious silhouette of an octopus, a testament to Fornasetti's love of zoomorphic subjects.
Combined with a folding support, this Fornasetti tray can be transformed into a coffee table.
Each Fornasetti tray is a unique piece and any minor differences between similar creations are the result of craftsmanship.

Piero Fornasetti: A Visionary Creator
Born in 1913 in Milan , Piero Fornasetti revolutionized design by mixing classical art, surrealism and graphic patterns . Passionate about architecture and trompe-l'oeil, he collaborated with Gio Ponti and created decorative objects and iconic furniture. His most famous motif, the face of Lina Cavalieri , declined in more than 400 variations in the series "Tema e Variazioni" , became the emblem of the house.
