The Fornasetti rectangular tray is made of screen-printed and hand-lacquered wood, using the Atelier's traditional method.
The decoration of antique golden keys evokes the past, according to this metaphorical journey through time undertaken by Fornasetti with his Contemporary Antiquity collection for Milan Design Week 2021.
Combined with a folding support, the Fornasetti trestle can be transformed into a coffee table.
Each Fornasetti tray is a unique piece and any minor differences between similar creations are the result of craftsmanship.

Piero Fornasetti: A Visionary Creator
Born in 1913 in Milan , Piero Fornasetti revolutionized design by mixing classical art, surrealism and graphic patterns . Passionate about architecture and trompe-l'oeil, he collaborated with Gio Ponti and created decorative objects and iconic furniture. His most famous motif, the face of Lina Cavalieri , declined in more than 400 variations in the series "Tema e Variazioni" , became the emblem of the house.
